Poorly Manufactured, September 3, 2010 This review is from: GreenLine Ladies 26" Deluxe Beach Crusier (MINTGREEN) (Misc.) As with many things that are at the low end of the price range for a type of product, I'm sure your mileage will vary. But, here's my experience with this bike:
Assembly was difficult -- had a lot of trouble with the fenders, and the assembly manual makes no mention of fenders at all. How this could be, I don't know, since this company has several different beach cruiser models that come with fenders.
The worst, part, though, was that the bottom crank assembly (which is pre-assembled) was put together incorrectly - there was no way for me to make it work, so I had to fork over a $75 assembly fee from a bike shop. It's true that there is a "money-back guarantee," but this requires returning the item. There's no way you're getting that bike back in the box, and the even finer print is that, for free-shipping items, the OUTBOUND shipping cost is deducted from your refund. So, even if you were to return it, you're probably eating something like $80-100 in... Read more
